Explore the Myriad Applications of GreenCHILL™ in Cold Chain Products
Cold Storages
Unlock versatile cold storage solutions with GreenCHILL™! Operating within +2°C to +25°C, GC 400 and GC 2000 efficiently manage cold rooms up to 20 MT and 400 MT respectively, ensuring optimal short- to long-term storage for diverse perishable commodities.
The GC 400 is a best fit for a 20 MT single-chamber cold room or a dual-chamber cold room with 10 MT capacity each. We offer a comprehensive solution, including the GreenCHILL™ unit and cold room set up, with complete installation and ongoing service support.
The GC 2000 is ideal for cold rooms with capacities of up to 400 MT, offering flexible configurations such as single, dual, or four-chamber setups with precise temperature control.
The cold room capacity is calculated based on heat load calculation. However, we can customise the cold room to meet specific site requirements.
The cold rooms are well-insulated, highly efficient and carefully designed to maintain precise temperature and PUF panel thickness of 80 mm.
Key Features & Benefits
Fast cooling rates.
Optimum daily loading capacity: 25% of total cold room capacity.
Ability to operate multiple chambers with single GreenCHILL™.
Airflow in cold room: up to 3,600 m3h.
Extremely suitable for no-grid, weak-grid areas.
The system's versatile temperature range allows for the optimal storage of a wide variety of products, including fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, grains, pulses, and dairy products.
Ripening Chambers
GreenCHILL™ revolutionises fruit ripening at the farmgate. Ripen bananas, mangoes, avocados, papayas, and more with precision in our ripening chambers.
With GC 400, we operate dual chambers of 10 MT each. The pre-cooling and ripening process is carried out simultaneously, and can achieve 6 tons per batch or 1.5 tons per day in the ripening cycle.
The GC 2000 enables the ripening of up to 20 metric tons per day, utilising a configuration of four chambers to carry out simultaneous processes efficiently.
Key Features & Benefits
Safe & Eco-Friendly Way: Transition from intensive chemical methods (calcium carbide, ethapon) to residue-free ripening (as per universal standard)
Minimising operating costs for sustainable and high-quality produce
Superior Quality Results: Enhanced and natural sweetness, good texture
Milk Chilling
Up to 25, 000 litres of milk can be chilled in a day with GC 2000, with cooling as per ISO 5708 Class 2A-II standards.
Instant milk chilling with IBT is also available.
Key Features & Benefits
Rapid Cooling.
Prevents bacterial growth, and ensures higher quality milk.
Maintains the milk’s flavour and nutritional content.
Ice Plant
GreenCHILL™ Ice Maker, a pioneer in sustainable ice production, producing 1 ton of ice slabs in 12-14 hours or 40-50 Kg per hour ice flake production with a biomass consumption of 6-8 kgs per hour.
Unlike traditional counterparts, which require an uninterrupted 140 kW-hr, 3-phase supply, GC 400 runs with only 0.7 kw-h consumption.
Ice production with minimal power consumption makes it suitable for usage in rural areas with limited power supply. The power required for the GreenCHILL™ Ice Maker can be obtained using solar PVs or grid power based on local context.
The space requirement for each of the setup is just 60 square feet.
Key Features & Benefits
Milk Industry: During transit of milk and processed products. Use in Ice cream production unit.
Seafood: Transport of fish from the point of catchment to processing site (from water to land)
Ready mix concretes: Ice flakes are used to improve quality of RMC
Mine cooling: Air-cooling in underground mines
Fruits & Vegetables: Pre-cooling of fruits and vegetables by chilled water, following Hydrocooling methodology
Food & Beverages: drinking water, juices, mocktails, cocktails, etc.
Pharmaceutical: Storage of medicines and pain management
Industrial Process: Soap-making soap, optical brighteners, dyes, herbicides, etc.
Cold Chain Logistic: Coolant in insulated chiller ice box
Process Cooling
GreenCHILL™ can seamlessly integrate into various industrial settings to provide efficient refrigeration. Wherever dry biomass, spare steam, or excess heat is available, GreenCHILL™ utilises these resources to power the refrigeration system. This creates a win-win situation for use cases such as:
Process cooling in the food, pharma, and nutraceutical sector, where biomass refrigeration units will retrofit into existing cooling setup and are powered by left-over processed waste of the facility.
Integrates with the existing chillers in the industry.
GreenCHILL™ runs 24/7 to meet the base refrigeration load, while the existing chillers can meet the peak loads.
Key Features & Benefits
Transformative savings in electricity costs.
Accelerate your Net Zero journey with significant carbon emission reductions.
Productive circulation of available waste energy to provide refrigeration.
Fast cooling rates.
Mushroom-Growing Chambers
Maintain a consistent environment required for growing mushrooms and enhance the quality and yield. Make it a win-win situation situation by recirculating ‘spent mushroom manure’ as fuel.
Key Features & Benefits
Avoid negative impact by maintaining a stable environment in the chamber.
Enhanced Quality and Yield.
Minimises exposure to contaminants such as mould and bacteria.
